( All scripture is from the KJV)
1Co 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Paul encourages the brethren to be steadfast, which means to be firm and immovable! Don't be doubting and wavering but stand firm in faith!
He then says to be unmovable which means the same as steadfast, except adding persistence! We are to be persistent in sharing the gospel. We are to keep the standards of Godliness and righteousness. We are to persist, in working in the spirit and exhorting others to come to Christ!
Paul then says to abound in the work of the Lord. As you grow in the knowledge of His Love and Grace you are to give, share and exhort others to walk by faith. The Christian life is not just about each individual growing to their personal potential but rather growing in faith to give away Christ life to others. If you don't talk to others about Christ or care about others coming to Christ, you are still a babe and only looking out for yourself. You are immature and self-seeking and carnal as Paul would say.
So, stay steadfast, firm and unmovable in faith and all the while be abounding in the precious work of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!

When dealing with children we have to show them what to do or not do! We have to take them by the hand until they learn what is right and wrong.
The same type of thing is worded in the bible. As far as mankind is concerned Israel was considered to be like children and rightfully so because they had not known God either nor did they know right from wrong. They needed signs to prove to them "Who" is this God! The law was given to help them as well as make them distinct. Gentiles never had the law so were more like the younger siblings needing the older children to help them find this God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob!
As progressive revelation goes through the bible, we come to Paul's writings to the gentile world. We see that we no longer need to be held by the hand so to speak but rather the bible is complete and perfect and gives us all that we need. We only need to walk by faith now!
Read this from 1Co 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
You see the sign gifts are not needed but faith in the Living Word is what is required today!

I believe the church is so weak today because it hangs everything on these1 Corinthians verses but does not balance them with other scripture.
1Co 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
You will hear sermon after sermon on "Love", but you will not hear much on separation. This is because 1. it is easy to preach on love everyone wants to be loved. 2. It sounds "like Jesus" who loved everyone! 3. It builds a big church fellowship by being kind! 4.......... on and on!!!
BUT what it really teaches is Ungodliness, Unrighteousness and an Unscriptural church. It teaches the church to mix with darkness instead of being a light and it confuses the Body. It sounds spiritual but it is not! Let's read what Paul's says in just a few verses.
Rom 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
1Co 5:9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
... 11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
2Th 3:6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
... 14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
Charity is always Godly, Righteous and Holy therefore be sure and balance scripture rightly. Godly Love may be a rebuke, correction or even separation as well as a hug or gift!

1Co 11:1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
Paul often said follow "me"! We are to follow Paul's pattern of salvation, doctrine and life as he followed Jesus. We are to understand that Paul was called, chosen and the Apostle for the gentiles. Paul was told the new doctrines for the "Body of Christ" the church today. It is a different doctrine given to him than to Peter. Both are saved by Jesus but under different dispensations given by God.
Now in this same chapter in Corinthians we find the doctrine on hair and coverings. Now you may find this almost ridicules, but you would be surprised at the different stances people take on coverings and hair.
... 14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? 15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
In some countries they might kill you for not covering your head and, in the U.S., they might shun you. Some churches take it to mean that a women should never cut their hair and or should were a covering of some sort. I have had some women come to me and argue over the color of the covering and say that women must were one.
On the other side of the fence, I see men who were long hair and beards thinking they look more like Jesus so that makes them more spiritual. I believe some men are just too lazy or want to look like a hippie like when they were young. Neither trying to look like Jesus is more spiritual nor being lazy is right. IN fact, we as saints are not to stand out at all. We are not to be seeking attention nor are we to draw attention by pointing out our tattoos, hair, dress or anything else. We are to be drawing attention to Christ by words and deeds of love unto God our Father! We are to dress modest and look normal as men and women of God. No outstanding dress code such as long dresses or head coverings which also draw attention.
If you're a man with long hair and beard cut it off. If your women and were a covering take it off. Then start sharing the word of God by following Paul's pattern of salvation and life in Christ!

Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
We are God's workmanship! The word workmanship comes from the Greek word "poiema" which in English means poem. Now a poem is something that "expresses" the one who created it. God expresses Himself through Christ as we are created in Christ! It is by Christ that we are made alive and a New Creature!
It is God's pleasure to express Himself through us and the "good" works come by the Spirit as we walk by the Spirit. It is not us being "good" but rather God working through us.
Good works are always by faith and always righteous, Godly and Holy. Good works come as a byproduct of being saved and walking by the Spirit. An unsaved person can never do a "good" work unto the Lord!
Keep walking by the spirit and you will see the fruit and "good" works of God in your life!

Winning and losing!
The football playoffs are here. The Super Bowl is near, and we will have seen another champion of the NFL! Whether or not into football or sports we all struggle with winning and losing!
We as believers want to not sin and struggle to "win" that battle. Yet the battle has been WON!
1Co 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
While struggling to not sin we continue to sin!
1Co 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
We have the victory already in Christ and trying to not sin by our own strength just makes a law and then sin manifest itself.
Don't get caught up in thinking the Christian life is about "NOT" sinning for the Christian life is about CHRIST! Focus, receive and rest in Christ and you will not sin!

Facing Life Issues!!!
When we go through issues in life and we all will go through them at some point, so do as Paul say's here...
Col 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
Seek and set you affection on Him! Set your mind and heart on things above which means on Him. Set your will, emotions and being on receiving from Him. It is not about working to get out of the problem but rather walking through the problem in Christ.
Resting in Christ who is our LIFE!!!
3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
You see we can wiggle around and try to get out of our problems but that does not mature or help us it just brings fleshly satisfaction and comfort until the next issue.
Jesus is Life, and Peace and only He brings eternal and internal comfort!

Happy 2022 to all of you. It is a new year with new challenges and new opportunities. Be sure and take advantage of a new year in life.
While the world celebrates a new year on this earth we must keep in mind that we are a New Creature made by God in Christ!
2Co 5:17   Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
We are made new the old things are gone but more important is that we are ALIVE! Spiritually ALIVE in Christ. The New creature is a NEW MAN! The new creature and New Man are internal and we don't need to look at the celebrations of the world but our home is in Heaven.
Phl 3:20  For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Conversation means our "citizenship" and place is in heaven with Christ! Enjoy your new year here and now and share the "good news" of Jesus Christ but remember your place, position and purpose is all in Christ!

Rom 13:8  Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
In this day and age of high prices and mortgages it is hard to not owe someone. But let me encourage you to do the best job you can in staying out or get out of debt.
1. buy low sell high if possible and pay off early. Pay a little more each month even if it is just $50-100.
2. Don't use credit cards except for emergencies.,in fact throw them away and just keep one for that emergency situations.
3. Keep and live within a budget.
4. Don't buy things you don't need.
5.  Remember to put some away if possible for future and build up a savings of some sort.
These are just "Practical matters" for all of us to know. To add the only law and things to owe is the Law of Love! Honor and love others and God by  financially responsible and stay out of debt.

Rom 13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
I have written allot of times on Put-off and Put-on. It usually is about sinful things and here is no different  yet in this verse it says to "cast off" the works of darkness.
The works of darkness is sin but the sin here is more inline with the words religion or a respect of divine and human duties. It has to do with things that "look" like worship and piety but is not! It is the worship of mans thinking and not Godly thinking.
For years man has perverted God's word in such away that we worship the creature instead of the Creator. We think by "doing" more or "performing" rituals we are being more respectful and showing our faith but really it is just a facade.
Now when we "PUT-ON LIGHT" we are being real, genuine and sincere! There are no facades and we are just ourselves with the Lord of lord's. We don't try to fake our feelings yet we are not controlled by them either.
Light in the bible is always the symbol of Godliness, Righteousness and Holiness! It is truth, and honesty and has no subtle self intentions. It is the Holy Spirit and it shines in darkness to make clear what is unclear to the eye and heart. It stands against religion, piety and false humility!!!!
So put on the armour which means the weapon against darkness and sin! The armour is the Word of God as well as the Spirit of God! It means to "PUT-ON" JESUS CHRIST!!!!
Rom 13:14  But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Rom 12:1  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
.. 9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
I would like to say that In this day and age people living together is more common then in other ages but it is not. They live together instead of marrying and therefore are sinning. They "present their bodies" in a sinful way, not a Godly way. This can be true of any sin but especially in the area of fornication.
Presenting your body in a Godly way begins in the spirit of man. Because once saved and transformed by the Holy Spirit we then can choose to renew our minds and allow that good, acceptable and perfect life style to be lived out through our body and unto God.
The Spirit, Soul and Body connected in harmony with each other produces a transformed, sanctified and living sacrifice unto God. It is allowing God's love to workout and not following evil but following that which is good meaning righteous in Christ.
So renew your mind with the truth that is in your spirit already. The Holy Spirit is in you and He loves you and you need no one to value you, for you are already of the "GREATEST VALUE" IN CHRIST!

1Tim 2:1  I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
Praying is something that we all can do. We don't need to be a theologian or teacher to pray. We don't have to be some super spiritual  person to pray. We can simply pray simply!
We ought to pray for ALL men every were. Pray for you family and friends. Pray for our neighbors and co-workers. Pray for our government leaders locally as well as nationally. Pray for your pastor and church folks. Please pray for our ministry and for those that come for counseling and our bible studies. Please pray for me to be bold and strong in faith and please always remember that I am praying for you too.
Let me just encourage you to pray for those who are lost and do not know Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Pray that first they know Him and then for their issues. Don't just pray for someone to be well and healthy but for their Spirit and Soul! The body will fade away but the spirit lives on.
And as you pray give thanks unto God for who He is and what He has done and for our salvation and in hope for others to come to Him!
So pray for all men and give thanks unto God!

Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. 18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
The Word of God has been shared for years! The "sound of the Word" was sent out from Israel and around the world!
"Jesus is the Son of God" and the "anointed one is here"! But not all believed for it takes faith. Faith is the key to being saved. Everything has been offered and given and ready to be accepted, but it must be accessed and received by faith.
Read the Word of God daily let it soak in and transform your life. Read, Hear and Receive! Hear, Read and PREACH! Preaching is proclaiming we ALL are called to proclaim JESUS CHRIST!!!!!
Dwell on, soak in and Put-On the Word of God DAILY!

While the world thinks of Jesus as a baby and born at this time let us keep focused on the main thing. We can make the cross of Christ look like a shadow and be of none effect compared to the birth of Christ as even it can take away from the important thing.
1Co 1:17  For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
Col 2:17  Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
The greatest gift ever actually comes through a most horrific event, the cross of Christ.
1Co 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
The cross is the POWER OF GOD! The cross represents to us why Christ was born and why He died and Why He rose again. It is the single most important event in history and should not be over shadowed by His birth as great as that is.
This Christmas remember and give thanks and glory to God's power the CROSS OF CHRIST!

The Tender Mercy of God!
Luke 1:76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; 77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, 78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, 79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
God's tender mercy is shown by sending John to point to Jesus. Jesus is that  wonderful mercy of God in flesh. God's mercy has been shown by NOT giving us what we deserve and giving us what we don't deserve also and that is Grace!
Grace is giving us a opportunity to come to Jesus without law and restrictions. It is giving us the opportunity as gentiles to be saved by faith alone in the works of Christ Cross! It is the cross that shows God's love, redemption and reconciliation between man and Himself.
So at this time of year and everyday give thanks for that "TENDER MERCY OF GOD"!

Luke 2:25  And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. 26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ. 27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, 28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, 29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: 30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, 31 Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; 32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.
Simeon was excited and had the right thinking and attitude. He was a faithful, just and devout man. He was told that he would not die until the Messiah had come. When Mary brought Jesus to the temple he picked Him up and gave glory to God. He had seen the salvation of the World and was holding Him in his arms!
Jesus was the GLORY of God for the people of Israel and therefore the Light for the gentiles to come to know God! He was at peace and he was ready to die.
We that are saved should be like Simeon meaning we should be at peace for we have peace within us, for Christ is our peace. We have salvation and Light and the Glory of God in us through Christ Jesus. We should be excited to die when our time comes for then we will be with and see Him in His complete Glory!
Give Glory to God and remember the PEACE WITHIN YOU!

Matthew 2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
The wise men told Herod that Jesus was coming to be "King of the Jews"! Jesus was born to be King of the Jews and to bring the Kingdom back. To make Israel the power that it once was and to be that Kingdom that was promised to them.
Jesus was to be the King, Priest and Prophet in one, as well as the Messiah "the anointed one" to Israel. He was born for such things, Yet let us never forget that He had that power long before His birth and presence on earth for He was with God and was God and is the Living Word!
John 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. ... 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Jesus the Word, is the King of kings and Lord of lord's!! He is the church the "Body of Christ", so worship Him not as a child but as He is the Power and Glory of GOD!!!!

A very fundamental and important thing that is sometimes over looked is that Jesus was born of a virgin. This is and must be of great importance to us. For their was never any sinful place in being conceived. AND There is not one sinful cell within Him.
Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.25  And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
Now this does not make Mary deity or anyone to be worshiped, No instead we are to look at and focus on the fact that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit! It is God who formed this child. He was HOLY from the beginning and Deity from the start to birth. He is still deity and we are to worship Jesus not Mary. God could have used any other virgin woman. Mary was faithful yet there may have been many faithful young ladies at that time.
Now Jesus means "Jehovah is salvation" and He was also to be called Emmanuel which means "God with us". Jesus is God and He is Salvation for all mankind. He was and is still Deity and we are to worship Jesus!
At this time of year don't get caught up in family or Santa Clause or presents given, but rather be caught up in the fact that
